DAVID CRONENBERG - RED CARS IN ROME
DAVID CRONENBERG - RED CARS IN ROMEThe sports rivalry of two of the fastest drivers in the much-loved world of Formula One racing is narrated by Cronenberg in images, dialogues and video.
The story: the year was 1961 and the German count Wolfgang von Trips and American Phil Hill were competing for victory as they raced their 156 F1 Ferraris, nicknamed the "shark-nose" because of the shape of its snout.
The result - the exhibition of the panels taken from the book and the video - is a fascinating audiovisual experience. The installation was presented at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni of Roma during the exhibition Chromosomes, in collaboration with the Rome Film Festival.
