Volumina is editing the documentary The Court Life on the Peter Greenaway's Peopling the Palaces project.
This backstage is a summary of three years of work condensed in 30 minutes: the initial location scouting by the artist and his Dutch team in the Reggia as it was undergoing restoration in January 2005; meetings at the offices of the Piedmont Region; the presentation of the 200-pages screenplay to the historians; the two weeks of shooting with the main Italian actors; the setting up the installation with projection tests inside the palace and the inaugural show with five big projectors illuminating the façade of the Galleria Grande. The documentary is rounded out by a long interview with Peter Greenaway.
Camera Paolo Rapalino, editing Cristina Monti and Mario Ruggiero, directed by Domenico De Gaetano. Many young students collaborated to the shooting through the Education project 10x4.
The documentary will be ready by September 2010 and will be included in the dvd Peopling the Palaces.
